Youth Horizons offers an opportunity to early school leavers to complete their education to leaving certificate standard. In addition to this we provide support and guidance to help people achieve their true potential. We are a community based charity situated in Jobstown, West Tallaght, Ireland.
Over the years we have grown and responded to the expressed needs of our community. Our goal has and always will be to enhance the lives of people by working with them to aim for their brightest "Horizons".
With the help of our many benefactors, and in an effort to meet the ever evolving needs of the local community our work at Youth Horizons has grown into a number of distinct areas
Mission Statement
Youth Horizons, rooted in the community of West Tallaght, is a haven of care and learning where mutual respect is highly valued as is the flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
Our Vision
The Youth Horizons vision is for a society in which everyone has the opportunity to complete their education to the best of their ability despite any challenges they face in mainstream education and in their home lives along the way.
Our Aim
In moving towards the vision we offer a personalized learning plan to young people in West Tallaght who struggle with the challenges of the mainstream school but have the ability to handle the Leaving Certificate curriculum.
We aim to liaise with others in relation to this ambition to learn from each other and to fight for a more consistent funding model for our kinds of approach.
